5 organic beauty tips to enhance your tan

Coffret d'Été - Hendiya organic sun ritual set, sun protection and radiant tan

Summer is here and the sun-kissed glow of your dreams isn't quite there yet? No panic, you still have time! We're sharing the right summer beauty ritual for before, during, and after sun exposure. 5 simple beauty gestures to enhance your tan while keeping your skin healthy and hydrated.

1. Prep your skin for the sun with exfoliation

If you want to make the most of your tan this summer, exfoliation is your best ally. Regularly using an organic body scrub lets your tan settle on clean skin, helping it last longer. It's best to choose scrubs rich in nourishing oils such as prickly pear seed oil or shea butter — beyond exfoliating, they also soften and hydrate the skin, giving you everything you need to prep it for the sun.

We recommend using a body scrub once or twice a week before sun exposure. This isn't just a preventive step — you can keep using it all summer long, as long as you don't have sunburn.

2. Enhance your tan while protecting your skin

Sun protection is essential to keep your skin safe. Reapply roughly every two hours while exposed. And if you want to make the most of your tan, choose tanning oils that help protect your skin thanks to their natural ability to filter harmful UV rays, speeding up your tan while deeply hydrating your skin.

Bonus tip: pick an oil rich in carotene, since carrot oil is a perfect natural tan booster that helps increase melanin production.

3. Rehydrate your skin after every sun exposure

After sun exposure, your skin really needs to be rehydrated. The best moisturizing body milks are fluid milks enriched with plant oils that deeply nourish and revitalize the skin. Hydration also keeps your skin from peeling, helping your tan last longer and giving you that dream sun-kissed glow on soft, supple skin.

4. Choose a healthy diet rich in antioxidants

Your diet plays a key role in your skin's daily condition. It's well worth eating foods rich in antioxidants. Antioxidants (red berries, artichoke, prunes, pecans, dark chocolate) play an important role in melanin regeneration and help counter the negative effects of sun exposure.

You can also choose foods rich in beta-carotene (carrots, spinach, apricots, mango), an active antioxidant that helps strengthen and boost your tan.

5. Highlight your sun-kissed glow

Finally, to give your tan an extra glow, reach for complexion-illuminating drops, our natural highlighter with licorice extract. A few drops blended into your usual face care or dabbed onto the high points of the face bring out the glow of your tan, day or night.

J’adore ce rituel que je ferai Isa dès que je rentre et j’apprécie le fait d’insister sur une alimentation saine et riche en antioxydants.
